Although we seem to be switching parties in the White House and the senate, looks like a women will still be holding down the Secretary Of State seat:

According to several reliable sources, Barack Obama has extended the offer to Sen. Hilary Clinton to be Secretary Of State. Senator Clinton met with President-elect Obama to talk about the job. Recently in Obama’s interview with 60 Minutes (CBS), when asked about him offering her the job, he chose to stay mum about that topic. Smiling and saying “you won’t get anything out of me”. About the potential position, her husband and former President Bill Clinton had this to say:

“She worked very hard for Obama’s election after the primary with him, and so did I. And we were very glad that he won and we have a lot of confidence that he can do a good job. But she didn’t do what she did with the hope of or expectation of getting any kind of job offer, much less having this discussed. If he decided to ask her and they did it together, I think she’ll be really great as the secretary of state. Whatever happens or doesn’t happen is between Obama and her.”

Although these two were going head to head to run for President on behalf of democrats, it was obvious that Sen. Obama had the utmost respect for the Clinton’s and admired the way Bill Clinton led this country during his tenure as President (1992-2000). Hopefully we can get an Obama-Clinton team up in the near future.

ForWomenOnline.com is reporting that the remaining members of Danity Kane refuses to sign on for the new season of Making The Band 4 (to begin taping in 2 weeks). There is internal friction between the group, Diddy and Bad Boy/MTV and the ladies are reportedly tired of living out their lives on camera. Check out the report:

We have learned that MTV will begin shooting the next season of Making The Band in 2 weeks, however, it will be WITHOUT the 2 members of Danity Kane. Apparently, the group is said to be extremely fed up with Diddy and living out their lives in front of the MTV cameras.

The new season is following Day 26 (the male group formed from the reality series) as they go out on the road and prepare to tour Europe. The season will also capture Donnie Klang a.k.a. Aubrey O’Day’s former love interest, as he tours with New Kids On The Block.

The remaining girls (Dawn Richards, Aundrea Fimbres) and possibly Shannon Bex?? will have a “meeting” with Diddy on camera but that is their extent of their participation right now with no contract in place to appear in the new series. Maybe this will be the episode where Shannon tells Diddy and her fans that she quit? We hear that she has not “officially” come back to the group and though she may perform here and there with the remaining 2 group members, she did resign and no one has heard otherwise.

Seems like the drama isn’t stopping at the axing of D. Woods and Aubrey, and for those who thought the fallout was made for T.V. might have been wrong. Or maybe…. nevermind.

Congrats to Lil Wayne, who welcomed a baby boy into this world on Wednesday (10/22/08).The newborn, named Dwayne Carter III, was born at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. The identity of the mother is still unknown. Wayne already has a nine-year-old daughter, Reginae, with ex-wife Antonia Carter. Wayne is also rumored to be back with ex-girlfriend and singer Nivea. However, according to reports, the baby was on the way before Wayne and Nivea got back together.

Rumor’s recently swirled that Beyonce was having problems with her upcoming LP. First, it got pushed back so she won’t compete with her label mate/Destiny’s Child member, Michelle Williams, and now it’s being said it will get pushed back again due to problems at (one of) her labels Music World Music, which is also her father’s label. To clear up the rumors, Beyonce released a statement for her fans through her publicist:

I wanted to address my fans about my upcoming album.

I have worked on this album for close to one year. I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life. I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny’s Child when I was 15 years old.

I have recorded over 70 songs and have created a sound that reveals all of me. I am in a different place right now and I wanted people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all. There is no label or tag on my sound. It’s me and I am so excited to share it with the world on November 18.

Love,
Beyoncé

Her first singles off the still untitled album, “If I Were A Boy” and “Single Ladies”, will impact radio on October 14th. The video’s (which were directed by her go-to director, Jake Nava) have already been shot for both singles and that will be released late October. Speaking of the Bey Hive, check her out performing at the Music Festival in Bermuda last night:

Beyonce is also planning a tour that will take place in 2009, playing international dates next Spring and North American dates in early Summer. She will also perform one of the new singles on Nov. 6th at the MTV European Music Awards in Liverpool, England. She is also working on an AOL Sessions and a deluxe edition of the album that is slated for release Nov. 18th.
