A new Rihanna record recently leaked called to the internet called “Bitch, I’m Special”, reportedly from her upcoming album:

Rihanna- “Bitch, I’m Special”

The song is sort of like an animated feminine rap. She almost doesn’t use vocals at all on the record, and if I haven’t been following her sound and music I would have thought it wasn’t her. Definitely a different sound for her, and I’m not sure I like it. After the early 2007 release of her uber smash hit single “Umbrella” her career took off in a spaceship and never looked back. Playing with different looks and sounds since she hit the scene in 2005 (she went from Reggae to R&B to Pop), it seemed like she finally found her place in the world. With this very boastful, egotistical single, it will leave some to think:

“Is her and Beyonce going to head to head for the crown as the ‘industry queen’? Who is biting off of who? And last but not least, who will win?” It seems as if in the music game Beyonce has been untouchable, with very few in her league, making comparison’s near impossible and on some instance’s- insults.

Like Beyonce, Rihanna has reinvented her sound on each one of her albums, but the Quen Bey hasn’t been as well received as Little Miss Sunshine. While Dangerously In Love was critically acclaimed and to some standards, considered a masterpiece (and to date her best), B’Day was not that convincing. Many was disappointed in the album and a petition was made against her “Deja Vu” video. As for her new I Am… Sasha Fierce era, many people are over her dance anthems and is tired of her experimenting with new sounds, her inconsistency is starting to become a tad annoying to many die-hard Beyonce fans.

So… what’s it going to be? Who will take the crown?

Beyonce‘s next two single’s “Ego” & “Halo” has been confirmed as the follow-up to “Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)” and “If I Were A Boy”.

“Ego” has been confirmed as the follow up to her luke-warm received “Single Ladies”. The single, which again plays on the arrogance of the extremely successful superstar, brags about her and her man having a “big ego”. The song starts off slow but picks up when the suggestive hook starts. On it she sings:

It’s too big/it’s too wide
It’s too strong/it won’t fit
It’s too much/it’s too tough
He talk like this ’cause he could back it up/He got a big ego….

On the ballad “Halo”, the follow up to her well-received international hit “If I Were A Boy”, the Queen Bey sings about him being her “angel and saving grace”. The song doesn’t disappoint vocally, lyrically or melodically. Definitely a theme song for all the young girls in love.

Being that Fall is officially in, the most convenient and fabulous accessory is also back: Scarves, Check out how celebs wear them:

There are several ways to wear a scarf. You can check out WhoWhatWear’s How-To video here to see their featured examples. Being that it’s Fall and there are so many trends to keep up with, scarf’s are the safest and most fashionable ways to keep up with the trends without spending a fortune. Although your whole look may be basic, a scarf can really elevate your look to the next level.

Their are many many ways to wear a scarf, as seen above, my favorite being the way Jessica Biel wore her leopard print scarf while out in Rome. The most popular way to wear a scarf is how Rihanna wore her fringed Balenciaga scarf while dining in NYC and how Beyonce wore her scarf while landing in the Philippines.

There are silk scarves (Beyonce), lightweight scarves (Rihanna), heavyweight scarves (Jessica Biel, Monica) and knit scarves.

There are many places to purchase a scarf depending on your budget. You can go to Forever 21 ($6-$20), H&M ($10-$40), Urban Outfitters ($20-$50), Bloomingdales ($55-$300), Net-A-Porter ($135-$1000), and many more chain department stores and boutiques.

Here are some of my picks:

Stay fab ladies!

On December 5th, Beyonce will return to the big screen playing the iconic Etta James. In the film, not only does she play out the victorious times of James’ life but the dark times as well (her being addicted to heroin, etc.) and from what I hear, there is Oscar buzz around Ms. Knowles’ performance. Check out the trailer and judge for yourself:

Can’t wait!

Fresh off the heels of President-elect Barack Obama‘s big win, the stars are lining up everything from dresses, to performances:

Oprah, who put her career on the line when she endorsed Obama (she stated in one interview that she started to lose sponsors and viewers), says she already has her inauguration dress. But she’s not the only one, the new First Lady Michelle Obama started searching for her inauguration dress “weeks ago”, according to sources inside the Obama camp.

Oprah is not the only star coming out though, Beyonce says she wants to sing at the inauguration:

About the win and her anticipation & willingness to do anything for her new President, the R&B “Diva” says: “I’m there. I can’t wait,” she told the Associated Press. “I feel like all of us, we’re ready to do whatever we have to do. Whatever they want — if they need me to volunteer, they need me to sing, I’m there, and I’m ready.” This would be good news for the little Obama’s, Malia & Sasha since they are HUGE Beyonce fan’s, along with their dad.

Looks like she’s serious about that icon status she’s going for, this would definitely be history in itself if she sang at the 1st African-American President’s inauguration.

Besides the stars preparing for Inauguration Day, so are proud citizens who voted for Barack. Majority of DC hotel’s are completely booked for January 20, 2009 and tickets to the Inauguration are selling out quickly. Get it while it’s good people!

Can’t wait until November 18th? You can preview Beyonce‘s new album I Am… Sasha Fierce at NewMusicLeak before the official release. Just don’t tell Papa Knowles we told you! LoL.

*UPDATE* “Video Phone” & “Diva” has been taken down due to a copyright claim by Beyonce’s label Sony/BMG. But if you want to hear “Video Phone”, “Diva” or any other track off of Beyonce’s forthcoming LP you can check it out here.

Check out leaked tracks from Beyonce‘s upcoming LP I Am… Sasha Fierce called “Video Phone”:

I LOOOOVVVEEEEE this song! Hope it’s a single, it is so….. fierce! This needs a video, I can see this song. I know I might sound crazy, but I see songs. Some songs just don’t need a visual and it’s very hard to see the song, but I can see this. Beyonce, call me when you see this!

Also check out “Diva”, produced by Bangladesh (Producer of “A Milli”). Bangladesh recently called “Diva” the female “A Milli” in a recent interview. Check it out, this is fierce too:

I’ve never heard Bey like this before. Bragging about her status in the game, her prominence as a R&B “Diva”, her money and her being on top of her game.

Stop the track/let me state facts
I told you give me a minute and I’ll be right back…..
How you gon’ be talkin sh**/You act like I just got up in it
Been the number one “Diva” in this game for a minute

Her arrogance mirrors that of her husband Jay-Z on some of his best received songs. The lyrics, the half-talking over a feminine twist to the “A Milli”  beat is, simply put, genius. I Love this! Perhaps more than “Video Phone”.
